BB unveils MPS today
Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce monetary policy statement (MPS) today (Wednesday) for the first half of the current 2019-20 financial year (FY20). "BB Governor Fazle Kabir will unveil the MPS tomorrow at 11.30am at a press conference at the central bank headquarters in Motijheel in the city," said a BB press release on Tuesday. — BSS
Gas stations to remain open for 24 hrs from Aug 1
Gas stations will remain open for 24 hours from August 01 to facilitate homebound passengers to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha. The decision will remain effective until further notice, the power, energy and mineral resources ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. Usually, gas stations remain closed from 5.00pm to 9.00pm every day as part of energy rationing. The Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be held on August 12.— bdnews24.com
