Next election as per constitution: Amu

Awami League government first launched a programme across the country to give the poor and helpless people legal assistance free of cost, said Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, reports BSS.
"Poor people are no more deprived of justice as they are getting legal assistance from the government," said the industries minister while speaking at a discussion in Jhalakathi on Saturday.
He said the next parliament election will be held as per the Constitution and there is no scope to hold any election going beyond the constitutional provision.
"Next parliament election will be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as per the Constitution . . . a political party is lobbying with big countries opposing election as per the Constitution but such efforts would not be successful," he said.
The programme was organised on the Jhalakathi District Judge Court premises marking the National Legal Aid Day.
District and Sessions Judge Md Ikhtiarul Islam Mallik chaired the discussion while deputy commissioner Md Hamidul Haque, Additional District And Sessions Judge SKM Tofail Hasan,
District Council chairman Sardar Md Shah Alam, district Awami League general secretary Advocate Khan Saifullah Ponir and additional police super Md Jahangir Alam, among others, took part in the discussion.
