Next polls will be toughest for BNP

Tarique Rahman tells party people

FE REPORT | Sunday, 1 September 2024

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said the upcoming national election will be one of the toughest tests for the party.
He came up with the observation while virtually exchanging views with the grassroots-level leaders and activists of BNP's Rajshahi division and districts on Friday.
Member of BNP Media Cell Sairul Kabir Khan said Tarique Rahman gave valuable directives to the party people in the meeting.
"The next general election will be a tough one. BNP always depends on public opinions for the election outcome," said the BNP acting chairman.
"We must continue to uphold the trust we have built over the past 17 years despite enduring immense oppression and torture (by the Awami League government)."
Tarique Rahman strongly directed the party leaders and activists to work together to keep public confidence intact and not to do anything that can destroy it.
