N\\\'ganj 7 murders: Rab finds its 21 officers involved

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in its probe found the involvement of 21 of its officers, including Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowhdury's son-in-law Lt Col Tareque, Major Arif Hossain and Lt Commander MM Rana, in the sensational Narayanganj seven-murder case, reports UNB.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam submitted the probe report before the High Court(HC) bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore Wednesday.
According to the Rab report, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said two former officials of Rab Lt Col Tareque and Major Arif Hossain were found fully involved in the seven killings while Lt Commander MM Rana was partially in the incident.
The other Rab personnel found involved in the murders were identified as sub-inspector Purnendu Bala, AB Arif Hossain, Nayek Nazim, Delwar, Lance Nayek Hira Mia, Belal Hossain, soldier Mahiuddin Munshi, Abdul Alim, Alamin, Asad, Tajul, Sepoy Taiyab, constable Shihabuddin, Alamin, havilder Emdad, Nasir, sergeant Enamul and AASI Bazlu.
Receiving the probe report, the High Court bench of Justice Md RezaulĀ  Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore set January 15 for the next hearing.
On November 23, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) submitted its complete probe report on the seven murders to the Attorney General's office for placing it before the High Court.
On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver, were abducted by miscreants from Fatullah area of Narayanganj. Hours after their abduction, senior lawyer at district Judge's Court Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver were also abducted on their way to capital Dhaka.
