N\\\'ganj ex-SP, DC being quizzed

The Investigation Committee on Narayanganj 7-murder has started quizzing former Police Super of the district Sayed Nazrul Islam and Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kanti Baral for their alleged involvement in much talked killing of seven people, including Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC)’s Councillor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Advocate Chandan Kumar Sarker. The interrogation began at the Secretariat around 10:00am on Sunday. On May 7, three officials of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 including the son-in-law to senior Awami League leader and Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya were discharged of duty. On April 30, seven bodies were found floating in Shitalakhya and Dhaleswari rivers in Narayanganj district after the seven were abducted on April 27, according to a news agency.
