NGWF demands food rationing

National Garment Workers' Federation (NGWF) urged the government for launching a food rationing system immediately for the garment workers as per the government's earlier pledge.
The call came from a red flag procession in the city Friday, organized by the National Garment Workers' Federation, said an NGWF press release.
Presided at by Amirul Haque Amin, Secretary of National Garment Workers' Federation, Safia Parvin, central leader of this federation, Md Faruq Khan, Sultana Aktar, Arifa Aktar, Md Anwar Parvez, Md Kabir, Sweety Aktar and Ranu Begum among others, addressed the rally before starting of the procession.
Speakers said, "This government promised to launch a food rationing system for the garment workers in its electoral manifesto but still rationing system has not been implemented though this government frequently kept on promising to do so."
