A team of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) is likely to visit Dhaka next week to get additional inputs about the activities of terror group Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) following the arrest of two JMB leaders last week in Bangladesh, Indian media report has said. The key accused of the October 2 Burdwan bomb explosion, that left two dead, gave a slip to the West Bengal Police as well as to the National Investigation Agency and are believed to have fled to Bangladesh, reports The Economic Times. The visit is tentatively fixed for November 9 and 10. A senior officer of the NIA in the rank of Inspector General of Police is likely to lead it. The NIA suspects involvement of JMB men in the blast and it has already announced a cash reward of Rs 1 million for main accused Kausar, Nasirullah, Sajid, believed to be Bangladesh nationals and Talha Sheikh and Maulana Yusuf Sheikh, all of whom are absconding. Meanwhile, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pankaj Saran met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the latter's office on Monday, Foreign Ministry sources said. However, it could not be known what issues came up for discussion specifically. The envoy did not talk to press after the meeting.
