Niaz shares 2nd slot in Malaysia Open Chess

Bangladesh's GM Niaz Murshed shared Tuesday the 2nd slot in the DYTM Raja Dr Nazrin Shah KL International Open Chess Championship with five other players securing 4.5 points after the 6th round matches now being held at Olympic Sports Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reports UNB.
After the 6th round matches, Bangladeshi FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, a player of Gopalganj Chess Club, earned three points while other Bangladeshi player Anisuzzaman Jewel of Golden Chess Club earned 2 points.
In the 6th round matches, Niaz Murshed, a player of Dhaka Mohammedan SC, drew with GM Bitoon Richard of the Philippines, Fahad Rahman beat IM Borsos Bogdan of Ukraine while Jewel gave walk-over against Justin Ong Way of Malaysia.
