Nifty surges above 5050, auto, realty, pharma up

MUMBAI, June 10 (Economic Times): Indian markets gained momentum and moved above psychological resistance levels as sentiments turned bullish following bounce back in Europe.
At 2:20 pm, National Stock Exchange's Nifty was at 5058.10, up 57.80 points or 1.16 per cent. The 50-share index hit a high of 5059.65 and low of 4997.60.
Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex was at 16881.91, up 224.02 points or 1.34 per cent. The index touched a high of 16892.75 and low of 16668.91.
Amongst the sectoral indices, BSE Auto Index advanced 1.74 per cent, BSE Realty Index moved 1.45 per cent higher and BSE Healthcare Index advanced 1.30 per cent.
Reliance Infrastructure (4.75 per cent), Bharti Airtel (3.97 per cent), Hero Honda (3.88 per cent), Idea (2.90 per cent) and Tata Motors (2.60 per cent) were the top Nifty gainers.
Suzlon (-1.12 per cent), ONGC (-0.60 per cent), Power Grid (-0.59 per cent), ACC (-0.47 per cent) and BPCL (-0.42 per cent) were the major losers.
