Night banking at Ctg Port from Jan

Branches of commercial banks at Chittagong Port will remain open till 10 pm from January next to facilitate businesses have necessary banking services at their convenience. "The extended banking hours will help businesses process their external trade at their suitable time," National Revenue Board (NBR) Chairman Dr Nasiruddin Ahmed told a workshop after announcing the new banking hours for the port. He was addressing a stakeholders' consultation workshop on draft Value Added Tax (VAT) Act 2011 in the city. - BSS
