Night guard hacked to death in Pabna

PABNA, June 16: A night guard was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Babupara area in Ishwardi municipality area on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain Alam (42), son of Altaf Hossain, a night guard of a private hospital 'Kamini Hospital' of the Babupara in Ishwardi municipality.
Police and locals said a gang of miscreants hacked Alam indiscriminately in front of a shop at around 9.0pm on Monday at the area. Later, the locals rushed to the spot and rescued him to Ishwardi Upazila complex where the on duty doctors declared him dead.
Being information, police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with Ishwardi police station about the incident, said officer-in-charge of Ishwardi police station Biman Kumar Das.
