Nine killed in separate incidents in Ctg and Cox's Bazar

CHITTAGONG, Dec 13 (BSS): Nine persons including two women and a prisoner died in separate accidents in the city and district last night and today, police said hospital sources said.
The victims were identified as Sumi Akter, wife of Golam Mostafa of Bengura area under Boalkhali upazila, Abdul Alam, 30, son of Abdul Malek of Hathazari upazila, Deen Mohammad, 57, son of Obaidul Hoq of Chakoria upazila in the Cox's Bazar district, Nayan, 20, son of Mamunur Rashid of Halishahar area, Abdul Gafour, 35, son of Nurul Alam of Raozan upazila, Rehana Khatun, 20, daughter of Hasmat Ali of Barapool in under Chandanaish upazila, Mohammad Hossain, 35, son of Abdul Monaf, a prisoner in Chittagong Jail, Mohammad Sultan, 60, son of late Abdul Karim of Cox's Bazar Sadar and Nur Kafil, 29, son of Nur Hossain of Anowara upazila.
Of the victims, six persons who earlier sustained fatal injuries in road accidents at different places in the city and the district succumbed to their injuries at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Rehana and Sumi committed suicide by taking poison at their respective residences last night, the sources said.
Mohammad Hossain, a prisoner of Chittagong jail, felt pain into his chest early in the morning and the Jail authorities brought him to the CMCH where attending doctors declared him dead.
