Nizam Uddin elected FBCCI director

Bangladesh Insurance Association Vice-chairman Nizam Uddin Ahmed has been elected the director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) for the period 2010-2012, said a press release.
Ahmed is the chairman of Meghna Life Insurance Company Limited and Karnaphuli Insurance Company Limited. He is also the chairman of Nizam-Hasina Welfare Foundation and Nizam-Hasina Foundation Hospital.
He hails from Medua Union of Bhola District. He obtained MA degree in Journalism from Dhaka University in 1973 and also passed LLB in the same year.
He worked in various daily newspapers as a journalist. He is the editor of weekly "The Muktibani".
Mr Ahmed is widely travelled and visited more than 50 countries of the world.
