Nizami, Babar indicted in 10- truck arms haul case

CHITTAGONG, Nov 15 (bdnews24.com): A Chittagong court has framed charges against Jama'at-e-Islami chief Matiur Rahman Nizami, former state minister for home Lutfozzaman Babar and nine others accused in the 10-truck arms haul case.
Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge SM Mujibur Rahman framed the charges on Tuesday
when the hearing started at 11.50am for the second day.
The judge said the trial will start on Nov 21 with the recording of testimonies of the witnesses as indictment of all 52 accused in the case finished on Tuesday
Nine of the 11 indicted and two other accused were produced in court.
India's bordering state of Assam's separatist outfit United Liberation Front of Asam (ULFA) leader Paresh Barua and former acting industries secretary Nurul Amin are on the run.
On Monday, the prosecution put forward the charges against them for indictment.
