Detained war crimes accused Jama'at-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami will face interrogation today (Thursday) while Secretary General Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahid on May 8 at a designated 'safe home' in the city, reports UNB.
Both will be interrogated from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The investigation agency has set the dates for interrogation in compliance with the order of the International Crimes Tribunal.
On April 13, the International Crimes Tribunal allowed the investigation agency custody of war crimes accused Nizami and Mujahid for the purpose of interrogation.
During the interrogation, the investigation agency will provide a room having a see-through arrangement, so that the lawyer engaged by the accused, can observe from an adjoining room the interrogation method without audio. A physician will also be kept standby during the interrogation.
Advocate M Tajul Islam, the counsel for the accused Jama'at leaders, told reporters that he has already received a letter from the investigation agency in this regard.
BSS adds from Chittagong: The detained Jama'at-e- Islami top leader and top listed war crime suspect Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami has been shown arrested in the sensational 10-truck arms haul case.
