Nizami, Mojaheed to be quizzed

Wednesday, 6 April 2011

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has permitted its probe panel to question major war crimes suspects Jama'at leaders Matiur Rahman Nizami and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed, reports bdnews24.com. The tribunal Tuesday granted the appeal submitted by the investigation team and the prosecution panel. The tribunal allowed the investigators to quiz them between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Dhaka Central Jail on separate dates to be fixed later. But the tribunal did not allow the panel to take them on remand. The tribunal asked the probe officials to fix the dates for quizzing them. On Mar 23, the investigation panel pleaded for the remand of war crime suspects Jama'at-e-Islami chief Nizami and BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdury.
