Nizami\\\'s appeal appears on SC cause list

The appeal plea of Jamaat-e-Islami chief Matiur Rahman Nizami appeared on Tuesday in the apex court cause list nearly a year after the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 handed him down the death penalty, reports BSS.
"His (Nizami's) appeal petition was incorporated in the (Supreme Court's) Appellate
Davison cause list for hearing," an official of the attorney general's office said.
The tribunal handed Nizami down the capital punishment on October 29, 2014 for committing crimes against humanity in Liberation War.. in 1971.
