No alternative to elected govt for stability:Hasina

Awami League (AL) chief Sheikh Hasina has said there is no alternative to an elected government for the stability of a country. She was addressing a meeting of AL supporters in London Thursday, reports bdnews24.com.
Hasina, who was temporarily released by the government to seek medical treatment, returned to London on July 14 after attending the ak of her nephew in Finland.
"Only an election at the right time can restore democracy," she said at the meeting.
The former prime minister said the upazila polls ahead of the national polls would not bring any good results for the country.
Hasina demanded unconditional release of all detained party leaders.
