No BNP bid to create anarchy will be tolerated: Suranjit
Saturday, 2 August 2014
Advising BNP to wait until the end of the present government’s tenure, Senior Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta on Saturday warned that any bid to create anarchy in the name of movement to topple the government would not be tolerated. “A constitutional and democratic government can only be overthrown through election. If you (BNP) want election, you will have to wait until the tenure of the present government expires,” he told a discussion. Bangabandhu Academy, a pro-government body, organised the discussion at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in the capital. Independent MP Haji Mohammad Selim presided over the programme, according to a news agency.
