No change in bidi prices, taxes

Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said that the government has decided to keep bidi prices and tax rates unchanged in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, meaning there will be no increase in bidi prices.
He made the announcement on Tuesday while responding to a question from Rasheda Begum Hira during the question-and-answer session on the third day of the national budget session in parliament.
The finance minister said the government had decided to maintain the current pricing structure and tax rates for the bidi sector at the same level as in the previous fiscal year.
