No compensation as Lovecraft trying to shift factory

Thursday, 4 December 2014

Jatiya Garments Sramik Federation on Wednesday claimed that the authorities of Lovecraft Garments were trying to shift their factory to another place without paying any compensation to the workers, reports UNB.
Addressing a human chain programme in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city, Federation president Amirul Haque said the authorities had "shut down the factory illegally" without giving any compensation to about 150 workers; rather, forced the workers to leave the factory.
He said that the Accord and Alliance report had declared the Lovecraft Garments building as risky and recommended repair of it immediately.
