No Covid death as 26 cases logged in BD

Bangladesh has reported not a single death from coronavirus as it recorded 26 new cases in the past 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With the latest figures, the overall caseload now stands at 1,952,532 while fatalities remain the same at 29,127, according to the directorate general of health services (DGHS).
The latest number of infections came from the medical screening of 4,708 samples across the country through 879 labs and the infection rate was 0.55 per cent.
During the same period, official statistics show, another 315 cases recovered from the viral disease
countrywide, taking the total recovery to 1,893,131.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 96.96 per cent and the mortality rate remains at 1.49 per cent.
