No dialogue with Khaleda, says Inu

Sunday, 8 February 2015

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said Saturday the government cannot hold any dialogue with BNP chief Khaleda Zia stepping over the bodies of fire-burnt people, reports BSS.
He was addressing a human chain, formed by Dhaka City JSD (North), as the chief guest at Uttara House Building crossing in the city.
Party's Dhaka City Coordinator Mir Hossain Akhtar, Organising Secretary
Naimul Ahsan Jewel, central leader Mukhlesur Rahman Muktadir, Woman leader Rokeya Sultana and Uttara Awami League leader and freedom fighter Tofazzal Chairman attended the programme, among others.
The minister said the BNP chief has taken to the path of terrorism shunning the democratic path.
The grand alliance government is trying to tackle the situation with the help of the people, he said, adding that the situation has improved now.
"The students are sitting for examinations and vehicular movement is almost normal. But the 'fire bombers' of Khaleda Zia are launching clandestine attacks on the people at night," he said.
Mr Inu said Begum Zia has declared a war against the people and burning innocent people to death.
Referring to the atrocities of Pakistani occupation forces in 1971, he said Begum Zia is behaving with the people in the same way.
He said it is not possible to hold talks with Begum Zia ignoring the groans of the fire-burnt people. No understanding is possible with her sidestepping the burnt people, he added.
Surrendering to terrorism would mean betraying expectations of the people and ignoring the groans of the fire-victims, the minister said.
