No difference between BNP-Jamaat and IS: PM

Blasting again BNP-Jamaat nexus for continuing burning people to death and unleashing rampage by enforcing hartals and blockades, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Friday said the BNP-Jamaat combine is committing the same crime the Islamic State (IS) is doing in the Middle East, reports BSS.
"BNP and Jamaat are committing the same crime the IS is doing in the Middle-Eastern countries like Iraq, Syria and Jordan. There is no difference," she said.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, made the remarks while delivering her introductory speech at a meeting of the Awami League Central Working Committee at Ganobhaban Friday.
Calling upon the people to put up strong resistance against the killings, arson, anarchy of the BNP-Jamaat clique, the Prime Minister said it is possible to get rid of such crimes by building strong resistance.
Sheikh Hasina expressed gratitude for the peaceful holding of the first day's SSC exams and urged Khaleda Zia not to enforce hartal again during the SSC examinations by considering the life of 15 lakh examinees.
"If you need, you can call hartal after the examinations," she said.
Criticizing Khaleda Zia for not visiting her younger son (Koko) during his ailments, the Prime Minister said even she (Khaleda Zia) did not feel like offering ziarat at his grave after his death.
"How a mother who has no grief for her late son would express sorrow and sympathy for other people?" she questioned.
