No disruption in RMG production despite strike

Production in garment factories across the country remained ‘undisrupted’ on Saturday despite Tuba Group workers’ call for strike in all garment factories across the country. Tuba Group Sramik Sangram Committee called the strike demanding their arrears in full, cancellation of Tuba Group owner Delwar Hossain’s bail, stopping the termination of workers and ‘attacks’ on them. “Regular police along with industrial one and government cadres didn’t allow workers to stay in the streets,” Moshrefa Mishu, president of the Garment Workers Unity Forum, told UNB explaining the situation.
