No election before 2019, reiterates Nasim

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim has reiterated that there will be no national election in the country before 2019. ‘They (BNP-led 20-party alliance) have to keep in mind that the country’s people voted Awami League to power for five years. The next national election will be held in due time,’ the minister has said while talking to reporters after distributing relief materials among the flood-affected people in Kazipur Upazila in Sirajganj district. Nasim, also spokesperson of the AL-led 14-party alliance, said those whom the people will elect in the next election will form the government in 2019. He also said the government has taken all sorts of measures to lessen the sufferings of the flood-hit people, according to UNB.
