No function at Ramna Park: Activists

Environment activists have demanded that the authorities take immediate steps to stop the preparations to organise a function at Ramna Park, one of the oldest and largest parks in Dhaka. Addressing a press conference in the city, they noted that the arrangements for the programme has already created some barriers to the people frequenting the park for having fresh air, and also putting the greenery of the park at stake. The organisers of the joint press conference include Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA), Nirapad Development Foundation, Green Voice and Torupallab, according to a news agency.
