\\\'No gap between exams\\\'

Wednesday, 2 July 2014

Tests in public examinations will be held on consecutive days barring holidays to prevent question paper leak, the education minister has said. He said it would not be possible to hold tests spread over one-and-half-month. The way examinations are held would have to be changed, Nurul Islam Nahid said. He said during their time, examinations used to be over in five days. ‘We will definitely change the method of exams. They won’t be held in the way they have been held so far. ‘We will accept the suggestions by the probe body. Opinions of relevant people will be sought on the extent of change,’ the minister said. The authorities had postponed the HSC English 2nd paper test of the Dhaka Board on April 9 following allegation of a question paper leak. The next day, the education ministry formed a 7-member body to investigate the leak. The committee had been asked to file its report in 7 days but it sought more time in phases, according to bdnews24.com.
