No gas for fertiliser factories

The government on Thursday decided to stop gas supply to all fertiliser factories in the country, except for Jamuna Fertiliser Factory, during the ongoing Boro cultivation. The decision was taken keeping in mind the increased demand for gas in power generation, particularly for the increased use in irrigation and for the preparation of the T-20 World Cup, said a Petrobangla press release, according to a news agency.
