No gridlocks on highways now, says Quader

Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said Saturday a total of hundred people from Roads and Highways Department (RHD) to work alongside law enforcing agencies as volunteers on highways to keep the traffic movement normal during Eid, reports BSS.
"There are no gridlocks on any highways now except Dhaka-Tangail Highway. That too occurs only because of rash driving. If the drivers get a bit alert, this gridlock won't exist too," the Minister said this while talking to newsmen after visiting the Chandra point of Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Gazipur.
"No mismanagement in traffic movement is found until now. It would have been better if we could give the passengers more comfort," Quader acknowledged. Top government officials were with the minister during the visit.
