Veteran Awami League leader and coordinator of the 14-party alliance Amir Hossain Amu has said there will be no discrimination in treatment of those who were injured during the quota reform movement, reports UNB.
He also said there will be no discrimination in applying the laws and that is their expectation.
Amu, the former industries minister, came up with the remarks while visiting Dhaka Medical College Hospital along with the 14-party leaders to see the injured people on Saturday.
Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal President Hasanul Haq Inu, among others, were present.
Meanwhile, in a human-chain programme in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Saturday, Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud described the destruction and attacks on lives and properties as medieval barbarism and it was done in Taliban style.
"These are not done by the students. Genuine students were not involved in it," he said.
On Friday, Hasan, also Joint General Secretary of Awami League, said that every incident of recent attacks and sabotage will be investigated to deliver justice but the genuine students will not be harassed.
