Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has said after the upcoming meeting with the Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (BASA) this week, there will be no room for misunderstandings, reports UNB.
He said the ongoing issues, which stem from communication gaps and basic misunderstandings, will be resolved following the meeting.
Rahman made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Public Administration's conference room at the Secretariat in the capital on Sunday, after holding a meeting with BASA representatives.
"I received a written letter from the administration cadre, and we will present it to the commission," he said.
"There may have been some confusion or misunderstandings in the past, but this will be addressed," he added.
He said, "There have been some misunderstandings regarding a few fundamental issues. The key point is that 23 commissions have already been formed, and this is the 24th. It's not just the Public Administration Commission-there are six other similar commissions, all of which are in the final stages. Before we offer our final recommendations to this commission, we have assigned the task to the president of BASA and the Dhaka district administration. They will meet with our officials and the reform commission to reach an agreeable solution and provide their feedback to the commission."
"We will discuss these issues further in a workshop, seminar, or a closed-door meeting this week," he added. "Once this is done, there will be no room for misunderstanding."
Earlier in the day, officials from the administration cadre gathered in front of Secretariat Building Number 3 from 11:30 am to express their concerns.
