\\\'No more extrajudicial killings\\\'

Speakers at a sit-in programme in the city have demanded stopping extrajudicial killings and fair investigation into and trial of every incident of secret killings. They also observed the whole country, including Narayanganj, has turned into a death valley as incidents of abductions and secret killings have marked an alarming rise. Ganasanghati Andolan organised the programme in front of National Press Club (NPC) to protest abductions and secret killings. Chief coordinator of the organisation Zonayed Saki presided over the programme. Among others, Dhaka University teacher and historian Ahmed Kamal, Revolutionary Workers Party general secretary Saiful Huq, left leader Shubhrangshu Chakrabarty, general secretary of Gonotantrik Biplobi Communist Party Moshrefa Misho and Ganasanghati Andolan leaders Advocate Abdus Salam and Abul Hasan Rubel addressed the programme held on Wednesday afternoon. The speakers chanted slogans 'No more extra judicial killings', according to UNB.
