No operation of drone or unmanned aerial vehicle in BD space: CAAB

Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Tuesday urged all not to operate drone or unmanned aerial vehicle system in Bangladesh airspace without any prior permission.
“This is hereby informed that recently some enthusiastic persons and organisations are flying drones, unarmed aerial vehicle systems, remote controlled planes, toy planes etc in the Bangladesh airspace without any prior permission,” CAAB said in an order signed its Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Sanaul Huq. These types of unauthorised flying activities pose a serious risk of anytime causing midair collision or similar devastating air accidents with other authorised civil passenger planes regularly operated by several domestic and international airlines, helicopters and high speed military jet planes, the order said. It further reads:  “Under the circumstances, for the safety and security of life and properly of the people and for the national security, henceforth any person, company or organisation intending to operate any flying object like Drone, UAV/UAS or remote controlled planes/toy planes etc. is to obtain prior written permission from the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) in prescribed form.”, according to a news agency
