No party can form govt without the support of JP: Ershad

NOAKHALI, Dec 20 (BSS): Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Hossain Mohammed Ershad said no party can form government without the support of Jatiya Party in future.
He was addressing a public rally at Noakhali Zilla school ground as the chief guest Sunday.
Ershad said the Awami League-led alliance came to power with the support of Jatiya party.
"The Jatiya Party is not a weak political organisation. I have nothing to demand from Mohajote", he said.
The former president said that the country witnessed massive development works during the JP rule.
He claimed that he was the founder of Bangladeshi nationalist politics and introduced the upazila system.
Presided over by district Jatiya Party President Salah Uddin Ahmed, the rally was addressed, among others, by Jatiya Party Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Presidium Member Advocate Mahabubur Rahman, Vice President AR Mohammad Salam and Prof ANM Mohammad Shajahan.
General secretary of district JP Mobarak Hossain Azad conducted the meeting.
