Thursday, 4 December 2014
Leaders of Trade Union Centre (TUC) have said there is no place for anti-liberation organisations Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in the country for the welfare of the workers. Terming the Jamaat-Shibir as enemies of Bangladesh, the leaders said the groups are spreading communalism in the country and using religions as their shield. They are working against the interest of women work force. TUC General Secretary Wajedul Islam Khan read out a written statement at a press briefing arranged by the organisation at Liberation War Museum in city’s Segunbagicha area. TUC President Shahidullah Chowdhury also spoke at the briefing, according to a news agency.
