No plan to destroy tomb of Prophet Muhammad: Saudi govt

The Saudi government has denied claims made by a British newspaper that it plans to destroy the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad in Madinah, pan-Arab news TV Al Arabiya has reported, according to a news agency.
The channel in a report Friday on its website said it had spoken to government sources who confirmed that the whole issue is not more than a “proposal by an academic which was published in a specialised magazine and is not a government decision.”
