Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali Tuesday said the government is yet to get any report from India on the recent bomb blast at Bardhaman in West Bengal, reports UNB.
"We've sought a report from India. The report is yet to come. Let it come first and we'll make comments after analysing the report," he told reporters at the foreign ministry.
The foreign minister also referred to his communication with the Indian side and said they assured Bangladesh of informing the matter 'as soon as possible'.
The feedback came when his attention was drawn about the India media reports that pointed fingers at 'Bangladeshi militants' for the explosion.
Earlier, India agreed to share information with Bangladesh about the recent bomb blast at Burdhwan in West Bengal.
BSS adds: French Ambassador in Bangladesh Michel Trinquier made a farewell call on Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at his ministry Tuesday.
During the meeting, the foreign minister proposed initiating Dhaka-Paris foreign office consultation.
The French Ambassador revealed his government's plan to make progress on this issue through foreign ministry's director general level meeting.
Michel Trinquier emphasised the need for strengthening relations between the two countries in tackling climate change and for economic cooperation.
The outgoing ambassador expressed his gratitude to the minister for extending cooperation to him during his tenure in Bangladesh.
