No shade for guardians at Holy Cross School

Sunday, 26 April 2009

I wish to inform you that there is no shade at the Holy Cross School and College for the guardians to wait during exams. Despite repeated suggestions from the parents and guardians who have to wait for their wards to finish their exams, the Holy Cross authorities so far showed no interest in the matter. It is not at all good to see the guardians, mostly women, waiting in scorching heat.
I personally do not have any idea how the establishment is run but I know it is not an inexpensive institution. Would it cost much in monetary terms if Holy Cross authorities constructed some shades for the guardians? If they don't have the land, they can ask the government for it.
I am told that many other educational institutions have the same problem for which the guardians are seen protecting themselves with newspapers or magazines from the sun. Shouldn't something be done to solve the matter?
