No trace of missing Malaysian cargo ship: officials

A Malaysian cargo ship that has been missing for a week and is feared hijacked in the piracy-prone South China Sea, could not be traced till Thursday afternoon, according to the Straits Times Online. The Navy and the coast guard with the assistance of air force planes were conducting search for the 7th consecutive day along the coast of the Malaysian state of Sarawak,. The owners of the Malaysian-registered cargo ship lost contact with the vessel last Thursday when it was travelling along the coast of Sarawak. A crew of 14 including Malaysian, Indonesian, Myanmar, and Indian nationals, were on board MV Sah Lian when it went missing last Thursday, officials said, according to a news agency.
