Noakhali businessman rescued

A Noakhali businessman has been released 24 hours after he was kidnapped. Captors set free Abul Bashar, 42, at Banglabazar under Begumganj Upazila in Noakhali on Saturday morning. They left Bashar on a road blindfolded, with his hands and legs tied up, around 10.30am, Begumganj Model Police OC Mostafizur Rahman said. Police later rescued him from there and took him to the office of assistant superintendent of police of Begumganj circle, he said. Two young men abducted Bashar at gunpoint on Friday morning from in front of his house. His cell phone had been switched off since then. Bashar is in the business of supplying soil. Police raided different locations in the district using modern technology since Friday afternoon, OC Rahman said. Police arrested two persons for their alleged involvement with the kidnap during the drive, the OC said, according to bdnews24.com.
