Nokia E72 launched with comprehensive messaging solutions
Sunday, 22 November 2009
Nokia will start selling its E72 model in the local market tomorrow (Monday). The latest full QWERTY smart phone brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it the ideal device for people who want to be productive in both their personal and professional lives. The price has been fixed at Tk 31,500.
Nokia Vice President Ukko Lappalainen said, "A research shows that people are spending an average of five full days per year- equivalent to a full work week- responding to emails. Half of us (46 per cent) choose email over voice or text to send and receive important information. The Nokia E72 was designed exactly with this kind of person in mind. It allows the owner to be more responsive and communicate how they want, whenever they want and wherever they are."
Building on the formula from the hugely successful Nokia E71, Nokia's best selling QWERTY device to date, this latest arrival in Nokia's E-series family maintains essential elements of its predecessor, whilst still improving its capabilities in a number of areas including important new functionality such as desktop-like email and chat experiences.
"Despite the outstanding market performance of the Nokia E71, we still continually look for ways to enhance the device," said Ilari Nurmi, vice president at Nokia. "So we included the desktop-like email experience in Nokia E72 and gave it a new optical navigation key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. We also upgraded the camera to 5 mega pixels and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack."
