Noman lands in jail over Ananta murder

SYLHET, Sept 3 (UNB): A court sent on Thursday Mohaimin Noman, one of the two siblings arrested in connection with the killing of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das, to jail on completion of his seven-day remand.
Judge of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate court-3 Anwarul Haque passed the order after inspector (organised crime) of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Arman Ali, also the investigation officer of the case, produced Mr Noman before the court.
Inspector Arman Ali told reporters that Mr Noman was directly involved in the killing of blogger Mr Das adding that remand might be sought again against him if it is necessary.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Mr Noman's elder brother Mannan Rahi made a confessional statement under section 164.
