Non-operation of NCT irks JS body

A parliamentary watchdog on Sunday expressed dissatisfaction over not bringing the New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) at Chittagong Port into operation even seven years after its construction. Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry observed that the container terminal has not yet been opened for protecting the interest of a vest quarter. They came up with the observation at a meeting with the port officials and its users at the auditorium of Bandar Training Institute, according to a news agency.
