None can resist trial of war criminals : Tajul

RAJSHAHI, Apr 15 (BSS): State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Captain (Retd) AB Tajul Islam has said none can resist the trial of the war criminals as the entire nation is now eager to see the trial. The state minister said this while addressing a public meeting organised at the Sarda Degree College ground under Charghat Upazila of the district Wednesday for recalling the martyrs of the mass killing during the War of Liberation at Sarda on April 13, 1971. He said the present government has been working relentlessly to complete the trial process considering the continuous demand of the people. Mr Islam laid emphasis on the need for depicting the real picture of the War of Liberation before the new generation so that they get themselves familiarise with the history correctly. Rajshahi city Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information Shahriar Alam and chairman of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority Nurul Islam Thandu spoke on the occasion as special guests.
