Notice served on 25 Barisal newspapers

BARISAL, June 9: Publishers of 25 dailies and periodicals of Barisal were served notice to explain why permission of their publications should not be cancelled. ADC of the judicial section issued the notice Thursday asking to explain within ten days. Deputy Commissioner Manzoor-e-Elahi said the action was taken on allegations of irregularity in publication and involvement in corruption and blackmailing.
