Nov 7 holiday abolished

Thursday, 29 November 2007

The 7th November holiday on National Revolution and Solidarity Day, marking the 'sepoy-people' uprising on this day in 1975, now stands abolished as per a new list of holidays. A meeting of the Council of Advisers of the caretaker government Wednesday approved the list of holidays for the coming year 2008, dropping the November 7 holiday. It was also suggested that steps could be taken to construct 500 'mud-forts' for domestic animals' shelters.
