Novo Nordisk launches another insulin product

Novo Nordisk, a leading diabetes care company, Friday launched its latest innovative insulin product-- Ryzodeg®-- for the type 2 diabetic patients in Bangladesh.
Officials said that the product offers successful reductions in blood glucose with lower risk of hypoglycaemia compared to the conventional insulins.
Thanks to its combination of two distinct insulin analogues -- insulin degludec and insulin aspartat (70 per cent and 30 per cent), Ryzodeg® provides first in its class treatment and safety for patients, they said.
The product was launched at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC). Earlier, the company announced its launching at a press conference in the city.
Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Hanne Fugl Eskjaer, Novo Nordisk's senior vice president for international operations Maziar Mike Doustdar, its corporate vice president BAOS Ms Camilla Sylvest, managing director of Novo Nordisk Pharma (Pvt) Ltd A Rajan Kumar and its head of marketing Dr.Mohammad Saiful, among others, attended the press conference.
The Danish Ambassador said that pharmaceutical is the second item that Denmark is exporting to Bangladesh. The product will help the Bangladesh improve in the health sector, she said.
She also said that Denmark will continue working in partnerships in Bangladesh to advance in different areas including agriculture.
Citing some challenges in Bangladesh like climate change impact, health issue against the growing population and poor infrastructure, the ambassador said that "These are the issues we need to work together."
