A female police constable who was gang-raped allegedly by her ex-husband and his five associates at Khilgaon in the city was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical test on Saturday, reports UNB.
In-charge of the Dhaka Medical College police camp Inspector Mozammel Haque said the 24-year-old police constable of Turag Police station alleged that she was gang-raped in a house on June 11.
She said she and her husband assistant sub-inspector Kalimur Rahman got divorced a year back following a family feud and they had a daughter. She filed a case against Kalimur after the divorce.
The victim said she was admitted to the Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital on June 10 for her gynecological problem from where her ex-husband tactfully took her to a house in the Khilgaon area. Kalimur and his five friends raped her overnight, she alleged.
She lodged a complaint with Khilgaon Police Station the same day.
Later, police took the victim to the DMCH around 12am on Saturday.
