NRB Bank gets two new AMDs

Kimiwa Saddat has joined NRB Bank PLC as Additional Managing Director & Chief Business Officer (AMD & CBO), effective on July 29, 2026, while Anwar Uddin has been promoted to AMD of the bank.
Kimiwa Saddat is a distinguished banking leader with over 23 years of diversified banking experience, spanning corporate banking, SME banking, structured finance, offshore banking, financial institutions business, trade services, supply chain finance, cash management, agent banking, recovery & restructuring, lease finance and Islamic banking, says a press statement.
Prior to joining NRB Bank, he served as Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. Earlier, he served as Deputy Managing Director of Meghna Bank PLC.
During his distinguished career, Mr. Saddat also held senior leadership positions at HSBC Bangladesh, The City Bank, Eastern Bank and GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Ltd.
In addition to his corporate career, Mr. Saddat is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka, where he contributes to developing the next generation of finance and banking professionals.
He holds both BBA and MBA in finance from the University of Dhaka and is a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC), Canada.
Anwar Uddin, the newly promoted AMD, began his banking career as a Probationary Officer at NCC Bank in 1987.
He joined Southeast Bank in 1996 and served in various capacities, eventually rising to the position of Deputy Managing Director.
Mr. Uddin subsequently joined NRB Bank as Deputy Managing Director and has now been promoted to AMD in recognition of his leadership, expertise, and contributions to the Bank.
Throughout his long distinguished career, Mr. Uddin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and organisational skills, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the institutions he has served.
